Collaboration and Acceleration – Our Key Ingredients

Have you ever heard the saying, “If you want to go fast, go alone; if you want to go far, go together”? The minds behind the Learner Information Framework are aiming to do both! Through collaboration, we want to accelerate information and data sharing for education and workforce systems. And we want to hear from you to make this a reality.

Bridging the Gap: Connecting Education and Workforce Data

Recognizing the urgent need to interconnect data from education and workforce systems, the Learner Information Framework (LIF) aims to help institutions, employers, and adult learners work together to address the challenges around retrieving and sharing education and employment information across systems while safeguarding the privacy and security of those records.

The LIF project has brought together experts from across the fields of education and workforce data to test out a new approach to these challenges. The teams from the 18 participating organizations gathered for an All-Hands meeting. The focus was on connecting, building relationships, and exploring how each member could leverage the strengths and expertise of others. A key point of discussion was identifying additional organizations that could enhance the learning experience as collaborators on this ambitious project. This is where you come in.

We recognize the importance of diverse perspectives and expertise. As we continue to develop and refine the Learner Information Framework, we invite you to suggest additional organizations that should be engaged in this collaborative effort. Your thoughts and recommendations are invaluable in ensuring the framework’s utility for a broad audience.
